I designed the interior for the Shinjuku campus of Lakeland University Japan, an accredited branch campus recognized by Japan’s Ministry of Education. While inheriting the visual identity of the university’s United States campus, the project employs wood elements and the institution’s corporate colors to create an environment in which students can feel comfortable and engage actively in campus life. At the center of the space, custom mobile platforms were introduced to support multiple modes of use. These elements function as a stage during events, as seating during lunch hours and can be rearranged freely by students to suit their activities. The design prioritizes flexibility and student agency, enabling the campus to transform according to academic, social and communal needs.
