TRANSPARENCY

「どこにでもなじむ」を意味する BLENDS IN EVERYWHERE をコンセプトとしたアクリル家具のショールーム TRANSPARENCY のデザインを担当した。 
多角的に分節された床レベルに高さの差異を与えることで、空間に緩やかなシーンの切り替えを生み出し、 その上に配置されるアクリル家具が光や背景を取り込みながら立ち現れる構成としている。 透明素材ならではの視覚的抜けと抽象性を最大限に引き出すため、 空間全体を要素の重なりとして捉え、家具そのものが展示物でありながら空間の一部として溶け込むよう計画した。 Photo: ©︎ Nacása and Partners Inc. FUTA Moriishi I designed TRANSPARENCY, an acrylic furniture showroom developed under the concept “BLENDS IN EVERYWHERE,” expressing the idea that the pieces can harmonize with any environment.
The floor is articulated into polygonal segments set at subtly varied heights, creating a sequence of shifting scenes as visitors move through the space. When the acrylic furniture is placed within these zones, its transparency captures surrounding light and reflections, producing an abstract and visually fluid spatial experience. The design treats the space as a layered composition in which the furniture functions simultaneously as display objects and as integrated architectural elements, emphasizing the inherent clarity and adaptability of acrylic as a material.
